SPS Scoliosis Workshop - Spiral Stabilization Class

Educational foundational workshop focused on scoliosis-posture recognition and Czech SPS principles.

You meet common posture traits and compensation patterns spoken next to a scoliosis context, the idea of the spine in three-dimensional curves, and breath–movement awareness that supports a sense of whole-body balance — as education, not a treatment plan.

Includes: introduction to the SPS system; experiential training as awareness; scoliosis posture features as teaching description; breath-movement awareness.

This workshop and materials are for education and information only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or any medical service. If you have spine-related concerns, ask a doctor or physiotherapist first. Individual results vary.

educational understanding of scoliosis posture traits; simple self-observation; daily breath and awareness skills; self-care recognition.

• Recognise common scoliosis posture traits and compensation patterns (educational)
• Taste breath and movement for three-dimensional balance awareness
• Learn basic posture-observation and daily self-watching
• Build posture awareness; notice unnecessary compensation as class idea
• Base for later basic training or further study

Scoliosis described as vertebrae departing left or right from the vertical axis, C- or S-shaped curve, often with rotation — teaching description, not a diagnosis sold on this page.

SPS taught as activating spiral muscle chains toward spinal stability as an educational method; long-axis support and paraspinal lengthening as class concepts, including the teaching phrase “anti-gravity decompression” as a concept

• People with scoliosis, family or carers
• Educators, therapists, coaches, yoga/Pilates teachers who want educational movement concepts around scoliosis
• Public who want posture awareness and to notice compensation patterns

Research Evidence

Recent clinical studies published in 2025 have shown positive effects of the SPS Spiral Stabilization technique in promoting spinal stability and improving posture-related issues associated with scoliosis.

One study (Zeng et al., 2025) showed that the SPS group achieved significantly greater improvements in Cobb angle, trunk rotation angle, clavicle angle, and self-image compared to traditional core stabilization exercises.

Another study (Lu et al., 2025) found that both SPS and the Schroth method outperformed traditional training, with more pronounced reductions in Cobb angle and trunk rotation.

These findings provide scientific support for SPS as a conservative exercise-based approach, though individual results may vary. Participants are advised to consult their doctor or physiotherapist.

Spiral Stabilization (SPS) is a scientific-based exercise method designed to stabilize the spine. It focuses on activating spiral muscle chains throughout the body to create an upward force that elongates the spine, improving posture and enabling pain-free movement. The system's methods and outcomes are supported by clinical research and established principles of biomechanics, muscle activation, and rehabilitation science.
