Osteopathic Lymph Drainage Technique | 人體結構及骨骼調整・淋巴引流技巧

A rhythmic pair of hands, the lymphatic pumps, and the body's slowest circulation set in motion.

Take home a whole-body Level 1 Osteopathic Lymph Drainage sequence, and the rhythmic pump technique that empties the deep lymph reservoir.

Lymph is the body's second return circulation. It carries the protein, fat, immune cells and waste that the veins cannot recover, it has no heart of its own, and most of it runs just under the skin. It moves by tiny muscular pumps along its vessels and by everything around them: breath, muscle, and the hand. A hand that presses hard collapses it. A hand that moves the skin at the lymph's own pace, about six times a minute, can move litres in a day. That is what this course teaches your hands to do.

In three afternoons you learn two foundations side by side. The light-touch technique: how to open the terminal nodes above the clavicles, drain the neck, the axilla and the deep abdomen, then work each territory of the arms, trunk and legs back to its own nodes, and rinse. The lymphatic pumps: the thoracic inlet release that opens the drain, the thoracic and pedal pumps, and the abdominal, splenic and liver pumps that empty the deep reservoir through breath and pressure. By the end of Module 3 every participant has given and received the complete Level 1 Body Sequence, the liver drainage, and the five pumps.

The theory comes first and it is free. The Foundation Class (Day 0) covers the lymphatic pathways, why light touch works, and the safety screening, in four hours, live and as a video course. Register, attend or watch, pass a ten-question entry quiz, and the hands-on modules are yours to join. Explanation in the modules is practical, short and precise; almost all of the twelve hours is on the practice tables, in a class of no more than ten, with Dr PC Lam at your table. Every claim is labelled: established physiology, teaching model, or hands-on instruction. Want a deeper technical assessment and supervision? Add Module 4.

Twelve hours on the practice tables, not in a lecture hall: the theory is free and comes first, so the paid hours are hands-on
One course, two foundations: light-touch drainage for the superficial 60–70 % of lymph, and the osteopathic pumps for the deep reservoir; you learn when each is the right tool
A class of ten with the instructor at your table, correcting your rhythm, your pressure and your direction in real time
Every claim labelled: established physiology, teaching model, or hands-on instruction, so what you tell the person on your table stands up to questions
A clear road on: assessment and supervision if you want it, the Advanced course when you are ready

After three afternoons you can:
Open the drain: thoracic inlet release and the terminal nodes above the clavicles, the first two minutes of every session

Give the complete Level 1 Body Sequence in order: neck, axilla, deep abdomen, both arms, trunk, both legs, and the final rinse, with the right stance, hand shape, direction and rhythm

Drain the liver with before-and-after tests, and use the thoracic, pedal, abdominal, splenic and liver pumps where each belongs
Recognise the absolute, relative and regional contraindication screen and know when to refer

Frame a whole session: preparation, breath, silence, the quiet close, aftercare, and an honest expectation of the following days
Say clearly which claims in this field are established and which are model

You receive

Bilingual course handbook, with the Body Sequence station list and the contraindication sheet as tear-outs
The bilingual 'Do you know?' electronic deck (109 cards, EN + 繁中) with an Anki import file
Class video for catch-up
Free access to the Day 0 video course

Anatomy and physiology follow the Chikly Health Institute Level 1 curriculum cross-checked against standard physiology (Guyton, Olszewski and Engeset on lymphangion contractility, Kubik on watersheds); tagged as established
The hand technique of Chikly's Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT), its rhythm and pressure ceiling, and its claimed effects on immune and autonomic function are the teaching model; tagged as model
The osteopathic pumps carry published references: thoracic-duct flow in instrumented animals (Knott 2005; Downey 2008), leukocyte release from gut lymphoid tissue (Hodge 2010), the hepatitis B vaccine antibody pilot (Jackson 1998), the pneumonia trials in elderly patients (Noll 2010, MOPSE); every citation is listed in the course evidence ledger with its PMID
The course keeps an open 'to verify' list of figures still awaiting primary-source confirmation, and says so in class
The course teaches technique and its rationale; it makes no claims about effect.

Adults with an interest in hands-on lymph drainage who are willing to practise on each other in class: for self-care, for family and friends, or to add to hands-on work they already do
Prerequisite: the free Foundation Class (live or video) and its 10-question entry quiz; basic anatomical vocabulary helps
Age 18+
Health declaration required: anyone with lymphedema, node removal or node irradiation is welcome to learn but cannot be a practice model
Not for: anyone who wants to manage lymphedema (that is the field of certified lymphedema specialists), or anyone unable to give and receive hands-on practice in class

Adults with an interest in hands-on lymph drainage who are willing to practice on each other in class: for self-care, for family and friends, or to add to hands-on work they already do. Age 18+; complete the free Foundation Class and its entry quiz first.

Yes: the free Foundation Class, live or by video, and its 10-question entry quiz. Age 18+. Basic anatomical vocabulary helps. A health declaration is required before Module 1.

Yes. Register (name, email, profession) and attend live, or watch the 8-episode video course afterwards. Registration is required so we can send you the videos, the entry quiz and the Module 1 enrolment link.

Yes to both. Every lab is done in pairs and both partners give and receive. Your own lymphatic system will be worked on; eat lightly on module days, drink well the day before, and expect to feel pleasantly tired afterwards. That is why the modules are one week apart and every afternoon ends with fifteen minutes lying still.

The light-touch technique follows the lymph's own rhythm, about six cycles a minute, with pressure lighter than the weight of a coin, and works the superficial vessels that carry most of the body's lymph. The osteopathic pumps are rhythmic, quieter and deeper manoeuvres, about two a second, that use breath and pressure to empty the deep reservoir through the thoracic duct. The course teaches both and when to use which.

Every session's teaching is recorded and absentees may watch the class video. Lab recordings are archived only and not released. Missed hands-on practice can be made up in the next cohort at no charge, subject to places.

Completing Modules 1 to 3 earns the certificate of completion. Module 4 (HK$3,000, 2 hours) is optional: a supervised session, four short practical checks and a 20-item written paper; passing adds 'Assessed' to your certificate. No certificate is a licence to manage disease.

What to bring
Short nails, no jewellery on the hands, comfortable clothes you can receive hands-on practice in (loose top and shorts or leggings); a towel; water; something to take notes with

Class rules
Practice-partner consent is given at the start of each module and can be withdrawn at any time
No photos, video or audio recording in class without permission
Handbook, cards and videos are for personal study only; do not redistribute
Silence phones
Do not attend the labs if unwell, feverish or newly injured; observe instead and make up the lab in the next cohort
Respect privacy; drape as taught

It is a health-education course, not medical care. The screening list is the same one you will learn to use on the person in front of you: anyone with an absolute contraindication (acute infection or fever, serious circulatory or cardiac problems, bleeding, acute kidney failure, uncontrolled cancer) should not receive practice in class; anyone with lymphedema, node removal or node irradiation may learn but cannot be a practice model. Tell us on the health declaration and we will arrange for you to observe those labs. For health concerns, consult a doctor.

One course, three Shopify products: free Day 0; paid Modules 1–3; optional Module 4 at HK$3,000.
