Fascia Anatomy Course: 3D Fascia System from the Osteopathic Perspective | 筋膜解剖理論課程:人體結構及骨骼調整視角下的3D筋膜系統

Take home a 3D picture of the fascial system: the central tendon axis, the dural core link and the four diaphragms

You have taught the front line, the back line, the sinew-channel lines and the spiral line for years. So why does a longitudinal line change character at the base of the neck, the thorax, the diaphragm and the pelvis? The osteopathic answer is not in the lines but in the crossings: four transverse diaphragms, 1. cranial base, 2. thoracic inlet, 3. respiratory diaphragm and 4. pelvic floor, cross the spine at its four transition zones and act as the interchange station of every longitudinal line. Warp without weft is not cloth; fascia without its diaphragms is just a bundle of threads. We teach you an updated view: the fascial system in 3D.

What this course gives you is a 3D picture of the fascial system you can take home. What links the cranial base to the pelvic floor? What links the foramen magnum to the coccyx? What order do the four diaphragms create as they cross between them? Do you know what the fascial suspension of the organs and nerves really is? The fascial system in 3D is the one picture it all adds up to. It will not replace the method you already use. It sits underneath it, and gives your cues, your choice of movement and your palpation one more layer of explanation. After two days in class you will ask of any movement, any posture and any fascial line you know: which diaphragm does it pass through, and what is that diaphragm hung on?

Day 1 — Module 1 · 45 min: fascial material, layers and longitudinal architecture
• Two definitions: a fascia and the fascial system (2017 nomenclature committee)
• Stecco's four types; superficial and deep fascia; seven gliding layers from skin to bone
• Material and mechanics; innervation (about one third of superficial fascia fibres are sympathetic)
• Embryology: the diaphragm is a septum that came down from the neck
• Central tendon axis: cranial base to pelvic floor
• Dural core link: foramen magnum, C2–3, S2, coccyx
• Four transition zones, four diaphragms: the proposition of the course

Day 1 — Module 2 · 4 × 45 min: the four transverse diaphragms (30 min lecture + 15 min Q&A each)
• Cranial diaphragm: tentorium, foramen magnum, jugular foramen, tentorial notch; occipito-atlantal zone
• Thoracic inlet: Sibson's fascia, first rib, three layers of deep cervical fascia, alar fascia and the danger space; cervico-thoracic zone
• Respiratory diaphragm: central tendon, crura, arcuate ligaments, T8 / T10 / T12 hiatuses; thoraco-lumbar zone
• Pelvic floor: levator ani, coccygeus, obturator fascia, pudendal canal; lumbo-sacral zone
• Each diaphragm: attachment table, gateway table, contents; M and A tagged separately

Support - Neural fascia, the dural core link, CSF and the fluid systems.

• One map that sits under whatever you already teach: central tendon axis, dural core link, four diaphragms, visceral and neural suspensions
• Fascia is not only lines: four transverse diaphragms make assessment three-dimensional
• Every slide tagged A (verified anatomy) or M (osteopathic model)
• Eight hours entirely on anatomy and argument; 15 minutes of Q&A after every block
• One room, one language: yoga, physiotherapy, DNS, SPS, manual therapists
• A demonstration to watch technique; two basic courses to learn it; this course itself teaches none

After two days you can
• See the second direction: which diaphragm does this line pass through, and what state is that diaphragm hanging in?
• Speak precise anatomy: attachments, gateways and contents of each diaphragm; seven gliding layers; dura from foramen magnum to coccyx
• Talk about fascia with physiotherapists, doctors and other schools in one language
• Tell evidence from model
• Take home one whole picture under your method
• Know the next step: demonstration to watch; two basic courses to learn technique
You receive
• Bilingual student slides (Modules 1 to 3)
• Class video for catch-up (demonstration not released)
• 15 minutes of Q&A after every block
• A place at the demonstration
• Early notice of advanced extension units

Anatomy follows Gray's Anatomy, Stecco's Functional Atlas and the 2017 fascia nomenclature committee (tag A). The four diaphragms and the central tendon axis are osteopathic models from cranial and visceral traditions (Upledger, Barral) (tag M). Evidence ledger on the course. No treatment claims.

• Yoga teachers, physiotherapists, DNS and SPS trainers, manual therapists, and anyone who already teaches the body and wants to talk about fascia precisely
• People preparing for the cranial-sacral or visceral courses who want the anatomy first
• No prerequisite; basic anatomical vocabulary (bones, muscles, spinal levels) is helpful
• Age 18+
• If you want technique: this course teaches none. Enrol in the two basic courses, or take this course first as the anatomical foundation

FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Module 1: fascial material, layers, central tendon axis, dural core link.
  2. Module 2: four diaphragms.
  3. Module 3: visceral fascia, neural fascia, dural core link, fluid systems.
  4. Demonstration: watch only.

Yoga teachers, physiotherapists, DNS and SPS trainers, manual therapists, and people who want anatomy before the cranial-sacral or visceral courses.

None. Age 18+. Basic anatomical vocabulary helps.

No. Anatomy and theory only. Watch the demonstration. Technique is the Basic CST course or the Visceral Manipulation Basic Course.

Most teach the lines. This course puts back the four transverse diaphragms. You take home a 3D picture that sits under your method.

A = verified anatomy. M = osteopathic model. Every slide is tagged.
